ZIML Onsite Tournaments and Workshops

During the school year ZIML hosts local tournaments throughout the U.S. where students have a chance to compete against the peers from their region. These tournaments are often accompanied by problem solving workshops where students get a chance to work with the ZIML team face to face.

Events for the 2017-2018 School Year:

  • ZIML for the AI Age: In a special event on Mar. 31st, 2018, students in the Southern California region are invited to join the ZIML for the AI Age workshop from 1:30 - 5:40 PM in Irvine, CA. The event will include an Onsite ZIML Competition as well as an Artificial Intelligence Quiz Bowl. Please click here for more information and registration. You will be prompted to create a free account if you do not already have one. This event is hosted with the help of the Chiao Tung University Alumni Association of Southern California.
  • AMC 10/12 ZIML Workshop: Students in Southern California participated in the intensive one-day workshop held on Jan. 15th, 2018 in Irvine, CA. The workshop included problem solving strategies for the AMC 10 and 12 exams, a mock exam and discussion of the problems, and concluded with a small ZIML competition including relay rounds and a Math Speedway quiz.
  • Chicago Regional ZIML Tournament: Students in the Chicago, IL area competed in a one day Regional ZIML Tournament on Nov. 18th, 2017 including an individual round, relay rounds, and a Math Speedway quiz. The event was hosted alongside Momentum for Youth.
  • Education Day ZIML: Students registered and competed in an online ZIML contest from September 7th-10th, 2017. On September 10th, as part of the CASPA/CIE Education Day in San Jose, CA, Dr. Kevin Wang gave awards to the winners and gave a talk about Math Competitions to the participants.

ZIML International Convention:

The 2018 ZIML International Convention will be held August 4th-5th, 2018 at the University of California, San Diego campus located in San Diego, CA.
