ziml answer question

In this question, it states that neither 7,15,23,31, or 39 is 4 more than a multiple of 7. However, I believe 39 is 35+4 as well as 32+7, making the answer 7, not 8.

Am I missing something, or is this an incorrect solution?

I believe this should say that one of them is 4 more than a multiple of seven, but the part I disagree with is the final answer. This solution, when worded correctly, gives proof that he normally shares among 8 people. However, this is not what the question asks, and I believe the answer should be 7 because it asks how many FRIENDS he shares the candy with.

Hi Allen. The solution was not complete. It should display correctly now. As Jeffrey was pointing out the answer should indeed be $7$, as Jerry divides his candy among $8$ people in total (him and $7$ of his friends), and so the bag had $29$ candies.
